The association “Die Keramischen e.V.” was founded in 2013 and has been supporting the International Ceramics Museum Weiden with around 120 members ever since. When the museum was placed on the Red List of endangered cultural institutions by the German Cultural Council in 2015, the association played a decisive role in its rescue and subsequent comprehensive modernisation.

The association is actively involved in special exhibitions, events and museum education programmes, thereby making a significant contribution to establishing the museum as a vibrant cultural venue in the region.

Members of the association enjoy free admission to the museum as well as exclusive guided tours and events.
