Founded in 2013, the friends association and its 120-odd members support the work of the International Ceramics Museum Weiden. When the German Cultural Council placed the museum on the Red List of endangered cultural institutions in 2015, it was the association that played a decisive role in securing the museum’s survival and its later comprehensive modernization.
The friends association actively supports special exhibitions, events, and educational programs, in this way contributing significantly to ensuring the museum acts as a vibrant cultural venue in the region. Members of the friends association enjoy various privileges: free admission to the museum, exclusive tours, and events.
